Get to Know the International Extension Journal of Unicamp

The International Extension Journal of Unicamp is a scientific publication by the Office of the Pro-Rectory for Extension, Sport and Culture (ProEEC), dedicated to disseminating academic productions such as scientific papers and experience reports in university extension. The journal follows a continuous publication model, meaning it accepts submissions year-round. Approved texts are published gradually and make up the current annual issue. Therefore, the next submitted and accepted works will be included in the 6th edition of the journal.

The journal was founded in 2020, in the heart of the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), internationally recognized as one of Latin America’s leading higher education and research institutions. It reflects the university’s strong commitment to extension as a core pillar, fostering transformative dialogue between academic knowledge and societal demands.

The journal seeks contributions from higher education institutions in Brazil and abroad, promoting dialogue between academic and popular knowledge. One of its main distinctive features is the appreciation for the plurality of formats, authorship, and languages. It accepts not only scientific articles but also theoretical reflections, practice reports, critical reviews, pedagogical materials, and proposals exploring audiovisual resources and other forms of communication.

The publication also encourages collective authorship and the participation of students and members of the external community (not formally linked to academia), recognizing the diversity of voices and experiences that shape the field of university extension.
